Many clubs have established their own foundation that enables tax deductible donations for them to undertake charitable work. Rotarians are generally open to being approached about worthy causes in need of funding, particularly of they fall under Rotary's 7 Areas of Focus.

Frameworks such as the Rotary Australia Benevolent Society, Rotary Australia Relief Fund and Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund set up through Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) and Rotary New Zealand World Community Service (RNZWCS) enable tax deductible donations to be made to assist disadvantaged communities and individuals through specific humanitarian aid projects.
