Rotary comes together with other local services to support communities.

One way that Kenthurst Rotary Club (Australia) supports their community is by opening their food van to distribute free meals. They do this together with the Salvation Army in Drural.

“We help people who are struggling,” says Kathleen Bray from Kenthurst Rotary Club. “Some of them are homeless, some of them are just disadvantaged and have something to eat with us.”

Ian Thomson, from Rotary Club of North Sydney Sunrise, shares how collaboration has led to meaningful outcomes for these members of the community.
“We have met and seen ladies who have come forward, who have been sleeping in their car,” he said. “With Rotary support, and other organisations’ support who we’re tied to, we were able to find housing for them and to help fund that housing.”
