Rotary South Pacific has opened nominations for more than 100 Rotary Community Leader (RCL) positions for the 2026–2028 term.
While this opportunity is available exclusively to Rotary members, it reflects an innovative model that is unique to the South Pacific.
What is an RCL?
A Rotary Community Leader is a volunteer role which supports Rotary Clubs across broad geographic regions and is connected through location, theme or projects.
RCLs act as connectors, facilitators, and strategic partners: helping clubs collaborate more effectively, share insights, and work collectively toward stronger impact.
The RCL role has a specific learning and development curriculum and successful candidates will be part of the learning and development program that equips them for the role, ready for their 1 July 2026 commencement in the role. The role offers ongoing training, mentoring resources and opportunities.
How to nominate
- Rotary members interested in nominating for the role should visit the Community Groups & Leaders page to read the position description, selection criteria and find the code for the their Rotary Community Group.
- Then, fill in the nomination form by 23 March 2026, noting that each nomination must be endorsed by a Rotary Club Officer. In April, the voting period will take place in which each club votes for their RCL. Election results will be announced in April, with newly elected leaders beginning their terms on 1 July 2026.
