Have you shared your Rotary or Rotaract story with your club members?

This time of year, many Rotary members reflect on what they’ve contributed, what they’ve gained and whether they will continue their Rotary journey.

The start of a new 'Rotary year' is a natural time for reflection, but it is also an important time to remind each other why we stick around.

Each of us has a Rotary story. Maybe it is a project which opened our eyes to what is possible. Perhaps it’s a friendship that has lasted for decades. It might be the sense of achievement you felt serving as a club or district officer. By sharing our ‘why’, we remind others – and ourselves – of what makes Rotary so special.

Some members may feel time-poor, financially constrained or disconnected. They may question whether they want to stay in Rotary. Sharing your story can make all the difference for someone who might be unsure.
Your story doesn’t need to be polished, just an honest reflection on what keeps you coming back and what Rotary has given you in return. Your story might just be what a fellow member needs to hear!

Connect with fellow Rotary or Rotaract members this month to:
  • Tell a fellow member what keeps you in Rotary
  • Post a message on social media
  • Write an article for your club bulletin/website
  • Share your story at a club meeting
  • Review the benefits of membership page on My Rotary

Rotary South Pacific would love to hear your story too! We'd love to know why you joined Rotary and why you choose to stay along for the journey.
